Meriwa Street and Clifton Street Heritage Areas and Draft Local Planning Policy 6.2 – Heritage-Protected Places

The City of Nedlands is seeking comment on designating portions of Meriwa Street and Clifton Street as Heritage Areas.

The designation provides statutory protection to retain the existing streetscape appearance. The proposal is accompanied by Local Planning Policy 6.2, which guides development in Heritage Areas. These documents will be open for public comment until 5pm 3 June 2024.

Planning Officers will be visiting the areas at the following dates and times for in-person discussions:

  • Corner Clifton and Karella - 12:30pm - 1:30pm – Saturday 11 May 2024
  • Corner Clifton and Karella - 4:30pm - 5:30pm – Thursday 16 May 2024
  • Corner Meriwa and Karella - 12:30pm - 1:30pm – Saturday 18 May 2024
  • Corner Meriwa and Karella - 4:30pm - 5:30pm – Thursday 23 May 2024
