Recycling and Greenwaste bin collection dates

Your recycling and greenwaste bins are collected alternately each fortnight on the same day as your normal collection. Please place your bins on the verge within one metre of the kerb and half a metre apart by 7 am.

What goes in my yellow recycling bin?

  • Plastics with lids removed – with recycling symbols 1, 2, 3 & 5 on the bottom.
  • Glass bottles and jars with lids removed and strictly no broken glass or other types of glass.
  • Steel/tin cans, including aerosols with lids removed.
  • Milk and juice cartons.
  • Aluminium cans, clean foil and foil trays.
  • All kinds of cardboard.
  • Clean newspapers, office paper, glossy inserts and magazines.

What goes in my lime greenwaste bin?

  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves and flowers
  • Weeds and prunings
  • Untreated/unpainted timber
  • Twigs and small branches.

Strictly no:

  • Treated timber
  • Food scraps
  • Household garbage
  • Plastic bags
  • Soil or dirt.

Maximum weight limit is 70 kg
