Young artists emerge as winners

Winners of the 2017 City of Nedlands Emerge: Youth Art Awards have been announced.

Winners of the 2017 City of Nedlands Emerge: Youth Art Awards have been announced.

Open to people aged 12 to 25 and selected from a record 169 entries, they were unveiled at a major one-day exhibition at John Leckie Pavilion.

Micca Young won the Resident’s Award with Cacti and Maclean Popplewell’s Can Via Stomp received a commendation.

The Open Award – for youth right across WA – was won by Jarrad Martyn’s Dazzle and a commendation went to Bela Moca by Holly Nabbs.

Adam Chin’s Japan: Past, Present and Future was winner of the People’s Choice Award.

All received prizes ranging from $250 to $500.
