Environmental Improvement
The City of Nedlands is dedicated to minimising its impact on our environment. It promotes sustainable living, preserving resources such as energy and water, and conserving trees and native bushland.
Waterwise Council
In 2011 the City was endorsed by the Water Corporation as a Waterwise Council. It strives to use water in the most efficient manner possible in every aspect of City operations.

The City of Nedlands has a Sustainable Nedlands Committee made up of two Councillors, 8 community members and one youth member. The Committee provides research and advice to Council on sustainability issues as they relate to the City’s Strategic Community Plan, projects, programs, services and operations.
If you are interested in joining the Committee or finding out about what the Committee is currently involved in, please phone 9273 3500 or email council@nedlands.wa.gov.au
