Nedlands Community Care

Nedlands Community Care is once again open for Social Support group outings, Waratah Club Social Group and Shopping Bus Services.
Nedlands Community Care have increased hygiene and infection control processes for the continuation of the following in-home services to our clients:
  • Personal Care
  • Wellness Checks
  • Medication Prompting
  • Essential Domestic Assistance Service
  • Shopping Support encouraging clients to shop by list
  • Gardening Support
We also have the capacity to provide other senior essential services to our clients to assist them in staying at home safely.
  • Access to home delivery of  library books
  • Access to shopping services and paying your bills 
  • Walking your dog
  • Social calls to keep you connected with other club members
  • Social connection e.g. going for a walk with a support worker, playing scrabble or doing a jigsaw puzzle together

The City is providing a Community Outreach Program that allows residents requiring assistance with every day tasks and general support.

Your local trusted provider for more than 35 years

Do you or a family member live within the City of Nedlands and need assistance to continue living in your own home? Nedlands Community Care can help with its dedicated, trained team of support workers. We are a Commonwealth and Council-funded CHSP service that can assist you with the following services.

Domestic assistance:

Assistance with light everyday household tasks such as cleaning, laundry assistance and shopping.

Personal care:

Support with daily self-care such as showering, dressing and medication checks.

Social support: 

Providing social contact within the home or in the community, social group events, Out'n'About Tours and transport to local shopping areas.

Transport:

Enabling clients access to community activities and services such as shopping, bill payment or medical appointments.

Gardening support: 

Light gardening to maintain safe access around your home 

Respite care:

Providing care, supervision and assistance to clients and offering temporary relief for carers.

Waratah Club:

Providing regular social outings and activities within a centre-based setting. 

Nedlands Community Care embraces the wellness approach to care. This means our focus is on identifying what an individual ‘can do’ for themselves rather than focusing on what they ‘cannot do’. Our friendly staff are trained in the wellness approach and promote and encourage client independence to enable our clients to continue living at home safely for as long as possible.
