Volunteering

Volunteers help build a strong, compassionate and resilient community capable of meeting its own needs. The City’s services are enhanced and extended by the valuable contributions of time, skills and commitment made by volunteers.
The City of Nedlands supports volunteering through two distinct services:

• The Nedlands Volunteer Service – recruiting and matching volunteers to valued services within the City’s organisation.
• The Nedlands Volunteer Resource Centre – supporting, encouraging and placing volunteers in the larger community.

Volunteering for the City of Nedlands as an organisation

Within the City as an organisation, volunteers do necessary and meaningful work that extends services and enhances the quality of life for residents. Volunteers contribute in the following  areas: Nedlands Community Care, Nedlands Volunteer Resource Centre, Local Studies archives, Bushcare, Nedlands Library, Tresillian Arts Centre, Youth Advisory Council, Access Working Group and Sustainable Nedlands Committee.
