Public Notice – Major Land Transaction - Tawarri Business Plan

City of Nedlands

In accordance with section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995, the City of Nedlands is giving state-wide public notice that it proposes to enter into the following major land transaction:

  • Entry into a Head Lease with the State of Western Australia for the lease of 120 Esplanade, Dalkeith (being Lot 502 on Deposited Plan 418496), with an area of 5508sqm (‘Leased Premises’) for the term of 21 years, with an option to renew for a further 21 years; and
  • Entry into a Sublease between the City of Nedlands and Tawarri Hot Springs Pty Ltd for the Leased Premises for a term of 21 years (less one day), with an option to renew for a further 21 years (less one day).  

(‘Major Land Transaction’)

The City has prepared a business plan for the proposed Major Land Transaction (‘Business Plan’). A copy of the Business Plan is available via the City’s website and at  yourvoice.nedlands.wa.gov.au. Copies are also available for inspection at the City of Nedlands’ Administration office, 71 Stirling Highway Nedlands and at the City’s libraries in Nedlands and Mt Claremont. 

Written submissions in respect of the proposed Major Land Transaction may be lodged with the City by 4pm, Friday 23 July 2021.

Submissions may be made by:

(a)Mail, by pre-paid post to the Acting Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 9, Nedlands WA 6909;

(b)Email, emailed to council@nedlands.wa.gov.au and addressed to the Acting Chief Executive Officer; and

(c)Submission online via the City’s Your Voice Engagement platform

Submissions made via email and post must be clearly marked “Business Plan Submission – Tawarri Hot Springs”.

Submissions close 4pm, Friday 23 July 2021.
