Summer Concerts in the Park

Get set for the 2019 edition of Summer Concerts in the Park! Join us every Sunday in February from 5.30pm to 7pm for live music, kids' activities, food trucks and much more.

Sunday 3 February - Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys - Lawler Park, Floreat

On Sunday 3 February, Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys will bring a repertoire of jazz, rhythm and blues to Floreat's Lawler Park. Renowned for captivating live performances, marked by slick presentation and raw energy, Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys have an enviable reputation as an institution on the Australian vintage music scene. Kick back and relax to a selection of music from the ’40s and ’50s, with inspiration from artists such as Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Harry Connick Jr, Jackie Wilson, Chuck Berry and more.

Sunday 10 February - Monty Cotton & The Threads - Mason Gardens, Dalkeith

Monty Cotton and The Threads are ready to weave their way into your hearts as they belt out some true pub rock classics, covering rock’n’roll, pop, R&B, country, blues, soul, Celtic and even folk music. The shining light of this tight trio is Monty Cotton – whom you might have seen on The Voice – with his signature low register, contrasting abilities and uncanny knack for imitating Johnny Cash. His command of the acoustic guitar is also second-to-none and his sharp wit and smile never fail to spin and radiate from stage, as he delivers a set list full of modern hits and everyone's favourite anthems. Match this with a taste of upright bass and drums and the result is a performance that will leave you spellbound and thoroughly entertained.

Sunday 17 February - Velvet Amps - Allen Park, Swanbourne

Get amped for our hottest powerhouse five-piece – the Velvet Amps, Perth’s only full-female cover band. Fronted by international performers Dixie Johnstone (recently seen on Channel 7’s All Together Now), Carly Jochimsen and Nikki Dagostino – famed around the traps as Little Miss Squeezebox – the band is accompanied by killer backline musicians, ready to deliver a sassy and electrifying performance.

Sunday 24 February - Hi-NRG - Dot Bennett Park, Nedlands

Like to party? Look no further than Hi-NRG, a sizzling six-piece band that has been electrifying audiences for the past 20 years. Renowned as one of the most sought-after party bands, their commitment to providing the greatest gig wherever possible has made them extremely popular at corporate events, conventions, festivals, pubs, wedding receptions and other special occasions. Hi-NRG is made up of a group of immensely talented musicians and vocalists – including the vibrant and effervescent Fie Cooper – who are able to re-create classic party tracks from the 60s through to the present day, whether it’s pop, rock, Motown, funk, R&B, reggae or Latin rhythms.
