Library Services
The Nedlands Library Service operates two libraries; Nedlands Library at 60 Stirling Highway, Nedlands and Mt Claremont Library at 105 Montgomery Avenue, Mt Claremont.
The Nedlands Library Service also forms part of the Western Suburbs Library Network, a consortium including Subiaco Library, Claremont Community Hub and Library and The Grove Library. Membership entitles members to borrow from all western suburbs libraries however each library service applies different loan conditions.
The libraries’ collections include a variety of books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, local history and electronic content (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eMovies).
The two main electronic eContent platforms are BorrowBox and Libby OverDrive.
WiFi, Computers and Printing
Nedlands Library Service offers access to public computers, free WiFi and printing services to visitors and library members. We offer printing and photocopying services, including mobile printing. Library Events
Our libraries hold a range of events and activities for visitors of all ages. Our regular events include:
- Baby Rhyme Time (ages 0-2)
- Music Time (ages 2-3)
- Story Time (ages 3-5)
- Dungeons and Dragons (ages 12-18)
- Subjects of Note (adults)
- Book Clubs (adults)
- Language Conversation Groups (adults)

Justice of the Peace Service
A Justice of the Peace is available for free witnessing services at the following times:
Nedlands Library:
Tuesdays 5pm - 6.30pm
Wednesdays 1pm - 3pm
Mount Claremont Library:
Saturdays 9:30am - 10:30am
If documentation requires multiple signatory’s, please ask someone to accompany you. There may not always be a witness available.
Books on Wheels and Library Bus
Nedlands Library provides a free home delivery service and a Library Bus Service to Nedlands Residents who are unable to visit the library independently.
Books on Wheels
After an initial consultation with our library staff, Books on Wheels clients are matched with one of our friendly volunteers who select from a range of library items. Up to 12 library items are delivered fortnightly on Tuesdays to the client’s door and previous items are collected and returned to the library.
Library Bus
Nedlands residents unable to visit the library due to lack of transport but who are otherwise mobile are welcome to join our Library Bus service. There are two separate Library Bus routes that run on alternating Monday mornings. Clients are collected from their home or a designated location and driven to the library by our volunteers where they can select library items and enjoy morning tea.

Book Clubs
The Nedlands Library Book Clubs meets at Nedlands Library monthly.
Session times are:
- Nedlands Library afternoon Book Club meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month 2pm - 3pm
- Nedlands Library evening Book Club meet on the third Thursday of each month 5.45pm - 7pm

Opening Hours and Loan Conditions
The Libraries offer a wealth of resources including free internet and wireless facilities, DVDs, CDs, eAudiobooks and traditional print resources such as books and magazines. Use the Library Catalogue to search for and renew library resources. Items available from the State Library Catalogue can be ordered if required.
Resources may be renewed by phone, email or in person at one of the Nedlands Libraries or online.

Western Suburbs Libraries
Members of Nedlands Library Service can borrow from any of the Western Suburbs Libraries.
The Western Suburbs Library Group (Western Suburbs Libraries) has many shared library members between the five libraries. A Customer Code of Conduct has been developed for all library members and users of the five libraries in this group to adhere to.
