44th Battalion Memorial Ceremony

The 44th Australian Infantry Battalion Memorial is commemorating the 44th Battalion with a ceremony at the Perth War Cemetery on 23rd November 2024. The ceremony will be attended by His Excellency The Governor along with Local dignitaries and members of the Defence Forces and Cadets. This is the first time the 44th Battalion, which was raised in Claremont during WW1, is being commemorated with its own ceremony in many years. The ceremony will commemorate various battles that were engaged in by the 44th Battalion over the whole day from dawn till dusk. The main part of the ceremony is 1100 - 1230.
