Credit Card Surcharges

City of Nedlands residents, ratepayers and customers who choose to pay their rates and other bills via credit card will be charged a surcharge of 0.72 per cent or alternatively a 0.37 per cent surcharge on Visa/Master debit card.

Each year, the City incurs substantial costs in credit card fees, which are passed on via the banks. Rather than increase fees to recover these costs, only those residents, ratepayers and customers paying via credit card will be affected by this surcharge.

Credit card surcharges will be passed on at the point of transaction. Please note there are other payment options available to residents and ratepayers that do not incur a surcharge. The available options are:-

• BPAY from your bank or financial institution (using a nominated savings, cheque, credit, debit or transaction account). City of Nedlands Rates Biller Code: 31435. Your reference number is your assessment number. 
• Send a cheque made payable to "City of Nedlands" to PO Box 9, Nedlands WA 6009
• Pay in person at our Administration Centre (cash, cheque or EFTPOS)
