Sport Facility Funding
The City of Nedlands has grants available to Clubs and organisations to help fund the development of sporting and recreational facilities within the City. Facility development means either the construction of new facilities or the upgrade of existing facilities. It does not include maintenance or operational expenses.
Community Sporting and Recreation Facility Fund
The City offers grants through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facility Fund (CSRFF). The CSRFF is managed by the State Government via the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSCI).
The program aims to increase participation in sport and recreation, with an emphasis on physical activity, through rational development of sustainable, good quality, well-designed and well-utilised facilities.
There are three rounds of CSRFF per year. Two small grant rounds, and one annual, forward planning round.
DLGSCI will fund up to one-third of the total project cost, with the remaining two-thirds to be funded by either the sporting club or a combination of the sporting club and local government.
Club Night Lights Program
The Club Night Lights Program provides financial assistance to community groups and local governments to develop sports floodlighting infrastructure. The program aims to maintain or increase participation in sport and recreation with an emphasis on physical activity, through rational development of good quality, well-designed and well-utilised facilities.
There are two rounds of the Club Night Lights Programs per year.
