We know there are a lot of dogs that love to play and the sand and surf down at Swanbourne Beach. While we welcome all dogs to the dog exercise area in Swanbourne, the City’s Rangers are reminding the community to ensure their dogs are being effectively controlled while on or off lead.
In response to community concerns of dogs behaving badly in this area, Rangers will be increasing their patrols and failure to abide by the Dog Act 1976 regulations could lead to a $200 infringement notice being issued. Please remember that whilst you are permitted to have your dog off lead in the exercise area at Swanbourne Beach, it must be under control at all times and not disturbing other beach users.
More information about dog exercise areas is available on the City’s website at www.nedlands.wa.gov.au/pets or by contacting Ranger Services on 9273 3500.
