Annual Tree Planting Program 2024
Each year the City plants over 500 street trees, this includes 2 years maintenance, watering and feeding post planting. The annual planting program is an initiative to build upon our existing 25,000+ street and park trees.
This will assist in expanding our tree canopy and aid future cooling of our City, during increasingly hot and dry seasons. The City is commencing its annual street tree planting program on 10 June 2024 and forecast this to be completed by 25 July 2024.
City Officers are currently out marking tree positions on verges, so if you see a coloured dot of paint on the nature strip outside your property, you are lucky enough to be receiving a tree or trees.
