City of Nedlands bulk waste collection service starts in May

The next bulk waste collection for City of Nedlands residents starts on 5 May and runs throughout May for zoned areas.

Did you know that over 75% of all bulk verge waste from the City gets recycled? ♻️  
 
As a participating Council in the West Metro Recycling Centre, City of Nedlands residents can drop off (for free) domestic quantities of many waste items that can't be put into regular wheelie bins and are also not suitable for kerbside collection, including:
 
  • Batteries
  • Hazardous waste (see examples here)
  • Electronic waste (see examples here)
  • Items containing lithium batteries 
  • Cardboard
  • Polystyrene
  • Chemicals
  • Motor oil and engine coolant
  • Paint
