The City of Nedlands is seeking comment on draft Local Planning Policy – Percent for Art. This draft policy has been created to provide a means for collecting contributions towards public art or requiring commissioning of art as part of large developments. Public art improves the built environment and contributes towards a sense of place. The Policy will be open for public comment until 5pm 7 March 2025.

City Officers will be available on 19 February 2025 from 4pm to 6pm in the Council Chambers at 71 Stirling Highway to answer any questions. Please note that there is no presentation at this session. It is an after-hours opportunity to speak with a City Officer about the proposal and you do not have to attend the entire time. Due to limited space, it is important that you please RSVP via the Percent for Art Local Planning Policy Your Voice page if you wish to attend.

Otherwise, you may contact the City’s Strategic Planning Department to discuss the proposal or arrange a separate appointment.

To comment and see all details of the proposal, please visit yourvoice.nedlands.wa.gov.au.

Copies can also be viewed at the City's Administration Building located at 71 Stirling Highway, Nedlands, WA 6009.
